Reflections of MCC Graduation Night 2008 |
|||||
“Determined, Dedicated, Destined to Succeed” was the theme as 394 MCC graduates gathered to receive their diplomas and share their success with family, friends, faculty, staff, and community members. The total number of graduates for the summer, fall and spring semesters of the 2007-08 school year was about 3,000.
Essie Zulu – Molecular Bio Science Program “The MCC experience has been great for me. The classes were small, so I had one-to-one interaction with my teachers which has helped me get good grades. I’m in Phi Theta Kappa and graduating with a 3.8 GPA.”
Jessica Wettje – “MCC helped me get ready for my bachelor's program with all the prerequisites I need for it.”
John Halk - English Major
Rob Webb - Engineering Major ![]() Emmeline Homer - Honors Student in Library Technology “I really liked the people here and really enjoyed the school. It was a good experience for me. Being older I felt really comfortable. I’m going on to NAU now.”
![]() Brian (Turbo) Langenwalter - Associates of Arts degree “I really enjoyed the teachers here. They really enhanced my knowledge on specific topics that I really wanted to know about; Keith Heffner with his music and Bob Baron with his enthusiasm toward any type of film.”
Jaclyn B. Smith - Digital Arts, transferring to ASU East, Media Design “MCC’s been great; I’ve had a lot great teachers throughout my studies and I’ve just really been soaking up their knowledge.”
![]() “At MCC I was able to gain knowledge and direction. I took random electives and requirements to find out what interests me most. Luckily, I found it right here at Dobson and Southern before I had to move on elsewhere. I am a kinesiology major and hope to become a coach for athletics.”
Shanisha George - Early Childhood Education “The teachers make the classroom feel comfortable and enjoyable; you learn and are able to talk. I just started NAU for my bachelor's in early childhood education and I’d like to open my own school after I get my master's.”
