Mesa Community College encourages all students to make safe and healthy choices while enjoying the college’s Spring Break March 14–22.

For those who plan to travel during Spring Break, the U.S. Department of State offers these 5 top travel safety tips for students: http://travel.state.gov/travel/living/studying/studying_3959.html

Students who choose to spend spring break in Mexico are advised to take extra precautions.  Due to a recent rise in violence along the U.S. Mexico border, the U.S. Department of State has issued a travel alert (effective through Aug. 20, 2009) to those traveling to and from Mexico.  To see the complete alert please visit the U.S Department of State’s website at: http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/pa/pa_3028.html.

The U.S. Department of State encourages all U.S. citizens to phone home periodically to assure family members of their safety and inform them of their whereabouts.
